Everyone knows the story. In every generation one girl is chosen to be the Slayer. Simple. Except that’s not true anymore. Hasn’t been for a long time.
After Buffy died at the hands, or fangs, of the Master, Kendra was Called. But unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be – and she was murdered by the vampire Drusilla. After Kendra, the power passed onto another girl. The Council was aware of this transition and sought to find the other girl. But they didn’t. They used everything at their disposal, spells, demon talk, everything… No Slayer was found.
The Council feared that its enemies would note of this and regard it as a grave weakness, a chink in the armour of the Council, and plan an attack.
But one Watcher in Los Angeles had a plan – a risky, crazy plan that had little chance of success. But it was a plan and a risk the Council were willing to take. Perhaps this was a mistake…
And so it was that Joseph Criss went to the Dollhouse. Explaining the trouble – having to tell the ‘house everything – it was arranged for a Doll to be imprinted with the skills of a Slayer. A doll by the name of Echo.
Given a back story and a loud personality, she worked her way through vampires and into the minds of the Slayer, Buffy, and her Slayerettes. Of course, things didn’t go as planned. She went Rogue. A Rogue Slayer with imprints of many personalities – she killed, and felt no guilt for it.
She was taken out of the field and back to the Dollhouse were she was kept under surveillance and went on engagements. Every now and then she was brought back into play.
During the First Evil crisis, the Doll card was played once more and Faith was brought in to save the world. Echo, more in control now, was able to think straight and act quickly. The world was saved and Slayers were called.

But now…

The Dollhouse is under threat from the Rossum Corporation.
Time is running out…
For the Dollhouse and the Scoobies.
The Scoobies are facing a threat – the human population has found out about vampires.
And they aren’t taking the Slayer’s side.
And as for Echo…
Soon the Scoobies will find out the truth.
But more importantly…
Who and where is the Slayer Echo/Faith was covering for?
